Michael Connell — Architect "Emeritus"
His firm, Michael Connell Architect, operated successfully in San Francisco for over 30 years prior to relocating to Sonoma County. He began his practice soon after receiving his Masters of Architecture degree from UCLA’s School of Architecture and Urban Design. He also has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design from UC Davis. His work has been published in Sunset Magazine, Renovation Style, Elle Décor, the San Francisco Chronicle, Sierra Club Magazine, and Houzz.

His passion for architecture was ignited by a solo trip to Europe at age 19, further developed by graduate studies in Rome, and sustained by another half dozen trips to Italy over the years. He is also active on the local level, as a former member of the Cotati Design Review Board. His other pursuits include farming tomatoes, hiking, & biking in beautiful Sonoma County.

Alexandra Ismerio — Architect, AIA
Alex has worked in the building industry for over 25 years including over ten years in San Francisco residential construction before transitioning into architecture. She was awarded her Architectural Degree from California College of the Arts in 2002. Her list of projects spans from the California coasts and deserts, to the Oregon pastures, and urban landscapes of Washington.

In addition to creating unique homes, Alex is the visionary behind trendy restaurants in Joshua Tree, San Francisco, and Seattle. From 2008 to 2015 she collaborated with two Oakland artists to realize a public installation, “Undercurrent,” a series of large-scale sculptures at Lake Merritt that form a permanent part of the Oakland landscape. In her world architecture is where art and function intersect.
